Beginning in 2004 as a small Superman fan site, operated on a home-grown CMS from a desk in my dining room, BlueTights.net grew to become the largest Superman fan site online. By 2006 I’d partnered with WB and expanded the site from just two hundred members in its first year to 1.2 million readers per month and 30,000 weekly podcast listeners.
As the site’s sole proprieter, I was responsible for all design and development of the site, as well as writing all of the site’s content. BlueTights.net was featured in GQ and Time magazines as being a central player in a wave of innovative, community-oriented marketing programs in the entertainment industry.
